Dynamic Objects, Late Binding, Option Strict

My first reaction to Dynamic Objects was excitement quickly followed by a strong dislike. However, while I really haven’t mellowed in my opinion there probably are scenarios where they are useful. I come from a more formal background that relies on good object modelling to achieve strong typing.

If I were to use Dynamic Objects it would require some careful weighing of the risks and a recognition that my application would require an additional level of quality assurance to ensure that the user’s experience would not be disturbed.
